Why Marvin

Windows built for design-minded Michigan homeowners

Marvin is a family-owned company that started in Warroad, Minnesota, in 1912, so it knows something about cold winters. Its windows are organized into five collections by how much design detail and customization you want, from a streamlined fiberglass window to wood windows built to an architect's drawing.

Premium windows only pay off when they're installed correctly. The Window Depot is a veteran-owned company headquartered in Fenton, and we install every Marvin window to factory specifications so it seals, operates and lasts the way it was designed to.

Local Expertise

Marvin windows for Southeast and Mid-Michigan homes

The right Marvin collection depends on the house. Here's what we typically suggest, community by community.

Genesee County

Flint & Grand Blanc

Grand Blanc's established subdivisions and the older, character-rich neighborhoods of Flint both have homes where the original wood windows have reached the end of their life. Fiberglass handles Genesee County's freeze-thaw cycles without the swelling and sticking wood is known for.

We often recommend: Elevate for a wood interior that matches existing trim, or Essential for a low-maintenance whole-home replacement.

North Oakland County

Clarkston & Lake Orion

In the Village of Clarkston and on the water around Lake Orion, homes range from historic to newly rebuilt. Lake lots mean wide views and constant exposure to wind, sun and moisture.

We often recommend: Elevate or Ultimate picture and casement combinations, and Modern for new contemporary lake homes.

Bloomfield Area

Bloomfield Hills & West Bloomfield

Bloomfield Hills and West Bloomfield have some of the most architecturally distinctive homes in Michigan. Replacing their windows is as much a design decision as an efficiency one.

We often recommend: Ultimate, with custom wood species, finishes and divided-lite patterns that match the original architecture.

South Oakland County

Troy & Novi

Many Troy and Novi homes built from the 1970s through the 2000s are ready for their first window replacement, and owners often want a more current look while they're at it.

We often recommend: Elevate for traditional colonials, or Essential in a dark exterior color for a cleaner, modern update.

We also install Marvin windows in Fenton, Holly, Davison, Birmingham, Bloomfield Township, Ann Arbor and communities within about 100 miles of our Fenton headquarters. See all service areas.

Window Styles

Every Marvin style, measured and installed by one team

Marvin builds every common window style, plus sliding, swinging and multi-panel patio doors. Mix styles across the house and we'll keep the sightlines, finishes and hardware consistent.

A two-story Tudor-style brick house with tall chimneys, white and dark wood accents, and a well-kept lawn featuring a round flower bed and a lamppost in the sunlight.

The Window Depot Difference

A premium window deserves a premium installation

The same Marvin window can perform beautifully or poorly depending on who installs it. Here's how we do it.

01

Full-frame specialists

When an opening needs more than an insert, we replace the whole frame, so problems are fixed instead of hidden.

02

Certified installers

Our installers are certified by Installation Masters, a program built around accurate, energy-efficient window installation.

03

We check the structure first

With 25+ years in construction, we evaluate your home before the old windows come out and arrive ready to repair rotted wood.

04

No commission, no pressure

Our reps aren't paid on commission. You get straight pricing and an honest recommendation on which series fits.

Marvin FAQ

Common questions about Marvin windows

Have a question we didn't cover? Talk to a real person on our Fenton team, Mon–Fri 8am–5pm.

Call (810) 750-0055

Are Marvin fiberglass windows good for Michigan winters?

Yes. Marvin's Ultrex fiberglass expands and contracts very little as temperatures change, which helps seals stay tight through freeze-thaw cycles. All collections are available with Low-E glass and gas fills suited to our climate. Installation matters just as much: a properly insulated, air-sealed and flashed opening is what stops drafts.

What's the difference between Marvin Essential and Elevate?

Essential is fiberglass inside and out, with a streamlined set of sizes and options. Elevate pairs the same fiberglass exterior with a natural wood interior you can stain or paint, and offers more styles and choices. Homeowners who want the look of wood trim inside usually choose Elevate.

How much do Marvin replacement windows cost?

It depends on the collection, size, style, glass and whether the opening needs full-frame replacement. Installed Marvin windows in Southeast Michigan typically run about $[X] to $[Y] per window, with Essential at the lower end and custom Ultimate units at the higher end. You'll get an exact, itemized price after a free in-home measurement. Financing is available.

How does Marvin compare to Andersen and Pella?

All three are premium brands, and each has strengths. Marvin is known for fiberglass and for design flexibility at the high end. Because we also install Andersen, Pella, Jeld-Wen and Ply Gem, we can show you comparable options side by side and recommend what fits your home, not what we happen to stock.

Do you install Marvin windows near me?

We serve communities within roughly 100 miles of our Fenton headquarters, including Flint, Grand Blanc, Clarkston, Lake Orion, Bloomfield Hills, West Bloomfield, Troy and Novi. See our full service area or call to confirm your address.
